About Us

We are a family of four from Northern Nevada who decided to follow our dream of taking the kids out of school and educating ourselves in the world. In 2013, we quit our regular jobs (Deb was a Professor and Colburn a Headmaster) and took the kids on a whirl-wind two year trip through 39 different countries.  When we returned home, we thought our life would go back to being ‘normal’ — man were we wrong!  With adventure in their blood, the kids wanted to travel again, so we have realigned our life to make that dream a reality.  Follow our family we make the world a smaller place through adventures around the world.  You can reach us privately at shindellrtw@icloud.com.
